Hi Gang
I’d love to be part of this (even though the 2005/2006 Song Club nearly put me in the Nuthouse ) but starting in Spring I’ll be away from home for weeks on end..
But like George says we need a push, I’ve done nothing since, and I can recommend it to anyone thinking of joining…… the Song Club is a great way to get focused, and receive some great feedback and support.
Lately I’ve been listening again to the spreadsheet Simon kindly sent me with all the songs from the Class of 2005, and there were some excellent songs written that most likely would not have seen the light of day, if not for that great idea Sharp came up with, and the ongoing support the members gave.
Great to see you all again…… and I look forward to hearing your songs.
Best
Trev.
PS: Just a thought but it maybe worth posting for recruits in other sections of the forum,……….I don’t think this section gets much traffic. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=504141 |

Trev, I posted an announcement in the NEWS section. That should do it. And DAZ, would it help you join this OSAM if you don't have to moderate it? That might relieve some of the pressure. I think I could do it as I'll probably be logged in here often enough to keep track of who has finished their songs. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

So far it's Dee, George, Ellll, and Daz? Anyone else? Adding SEWA now and Lorenzo. 6 so far and counting.
Now Jonsolo is in. That's 7 unless I've missed someone. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

I agreed to do this once and quit, therefore I sheepishly ask this question. Is it possible to join in on a song every two months (6 song a year) ? _________________ “I’m into scales right now.”

For my part, I would be flexible here. It's not really the same as one a month, but if it helps you and you can stick with it, it's your own committment. Also, keep in mind these songs don't have to be anything other than you can and want to do. Maybe every other month just do a simple musical exercise/experiment for your post. I did that a few times when I was either busy or dried up creatively. Throw in some noise/punk or something when you have to. But as long as the group stays small, like under 10, I think you can commit however you want. Just be prepared to stick with whatever you decide to do. _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

Hi Jazlover,
George is boss this time, but I think it would be great! We need to allow for anyone who is willing to give an honest attempt, so I go along with George on this!!!

Thanks guys, I hope Bonkwell and Daz will speak up if they do not like the inequality (of 6 months or my having quit earlier). I appreciate your consideration and generosity regardless of how any of you feel. Be well! _________________ “I’m into scales right now.”

I think we can make a special exception to the rule in your case jaz I am sure you'll add something to our musical joust that would be missing if we didn't include you, regardless of the slight flexing of the rules.

George, thanks for the PM. I think its time I found my way back to KF. I started to take music lessons few months ago so the new OSAM comes in the right time. Count me in
