Hello,
I am about 99% convinced to pick up a microstation, but I do have a question/request of some owners out there.
Exactly how wide are the individual keys? (white mostly, but the black keys look like they are a bit wider than most mini keys to me too)
It's not a massive issue because I can just midi it up to my old m1 and use it's keyboard, or my sp250's keyboard, but I would like to get an idea of how playable the MS's own keyboard is.
I mostly have read it is pretty good actually, but I'd like to get an idea of the key size if someone would be so kind as to take a measurement for me.
Unfortunately my local dealer doesn't have any in stock to check it out myself. |

I dont have the KM with me at the moment but I will take measurements when I get it back... unless someone does it first.
I like the smaller keys and they do seem a bit bigger than some mini keys. I dont like using the midi via another keyboard as it limits the twisting of knobs and pressing buttons... but you should be fine and you will get use to them quickly.
However, everyone is different. _________________ Join this SoundCloud group and share your music: http://soundcloud.com/groups/korg-microstation |

Well my plan is to likely use the m1 exclusively as a midi controller, so I could just put the MicroStation on top and still have access to all the controls |

total length with 5 octaves keybed= 72,5 cm
white key width= 2cm length= 8,3cm height= 1,5cm
black key width= 0,8cm length= 5cm height= 0,6cm
