Hi,
I own few gear but I essentially use my ESX and my Microkorg.
I don't figure out a nice "set-up" to make my workflow as fun and accurate as possible. I started using Muse, a DWA for linux that works great with the 2 gears I mainly use.
What would be the best setup?
Currently I do :
- recording a base sequence in audio from the ESX.
- jaming and recording in Audio in Muse.
- then I re-sequence variations on top to replace the simple basic loop that just helped to give me the mood of what I played.
This setup is nice, but I have few problems of synchronisation because it's in audio.
Should I use Midi?
So, I can keep working in Audio with the ESX because it's syncs with Muse, so if I start Muse, ESX starts. That's handy.
But for my leads that I play with the Microkorg, I'm not confortable with midi. I mean, once I finished one lead, I sample it in Muse at playback and then I change the midi track and continue with something else ?
This part is that makes me unconfortable, but maybe it's the only way to do.
I hope my question is not too stupid nor ununderstandable...
Thanks for reading me. _________________ Microkorg XL (white)
