Hi.
I've tried to create a custom style in PA5X and to write only one measure of the drums track. Then I want to insert 3 more, to make the track by 4 measures, because almost all measures are the same, the single difference is in the last measure, where I must modify something. When I used insert function it only creates 3 empty measures, does not copy the events. How do I copy the events from first measure to those 3 inserted measures?

One week already, and no answer... seems everyone uses midi files on Korg? Laughing

By using insert/cut page , you just create empty extra measurements witch is completely logical !
After creating 3 new measurements then use the proper page of "Style Copy" due to copy midi events from 1st measure to other 3.
See advanced edit manual page 883

Hope this helps

But is no option to copy some portion of a CV to another portion of the same CV. And it write clear that the CV will be overwritten.

So, to copy one measure to multiple measures, do I have to copy the track which has only one measure to a track that has multiple measures? This is how it works? It is very strange, annoying... Even Genos from Yamaha have an option to copy a range of measures to another measure, and Genos's Style Creator is far worst than Korg's Style Editor.

We need a Bar copy function inside a CV, to be able to select from measure to measure and select destination measure.
I have to make more tests, I don't understand...

PS: These screenshots are from Genos manual:

Hi guys, I also come from Yamaha Camp, and just like valimaties, I think, the lack of copying the bars inside the CV is a big drawback (on Yamaha I used that feature a lot).

I initially thought that this is a feature that is currently missing in PA5X, however, when I tried to compare the Style Editor section in the user manual with a similar manual of Pa4x and Pa1000 I saw that it also doesn't allow copying individual bars in "Style Copy" tab (page 302/303 of Pa4x Manual) - the menu items look the same.

So my question is how do the owners of previous models overcome this restriction? This is my first Korg Model, I totally might be missing something. I thought about exporting an individual chord variation to midi (something that exists in pa4x but still not on pa5x), then opening that midi in the sequencer and then copying the bars, it should have (Sequencer > Song Edit > Copy as explained on page 371 of pa4x manual), again still not available on pa5x. After that probably, it might be possible to import it back into style, but, all-in-all this sounds like a way too complicated method to achieve such a simple task. Any ideas?

I use a DAW (cubase) to edit / create styles. Endless possibilities; and import to the 5x.
