Kurzweil showed two new keyboards at NAMM 2024: the K2061 and K2088. They appear to be budget friendly relatives of the 2700. Kurzweil is smart enough to keep the 9 sliders/drawbars. If it has all the engines of the 2700 (V.A.S.T., 6 operator FM, VA, B3 emulation, etc). If it comes in at the right price point, then who cares if Korg ever adds drawbars to the Nautilus or comes up with a replacement for the Kronos?

If I'm honest, the drawbar engine in Korg's seems to have stopped development in the early 2000's. Their take on Vib/Chorus always sounded like a bad phase shifter on high speed vs. an honest effort at realism.

The baby kurzweils don't seem to be cut-down in much except for size, drumpads, and audio interface function. If you're running it standalone and don't use pads, it should be a pretty complete experience from what the news tells me.

The PC4 comes in at $2,5K, and has many similar features to the K2700, so I wouldn't expect anything too crazy, price-wise. At a wild, uninformed guess, the K2061 might slide in at sub-$2K, which wouldn't be too crazy.
