Same here. I have a 32 GB SanDisk USB plugged into port 1 and it gets hot. Possibly that is normal for high speed 3.0 USB (blue connector).

- Any USB 3 thumb drive in ST-BY mode will be the same hot in any USB port either in Pa5X slot nor your computer slot.
- All depend of drive specification in tech documentation , Pa5X just provide 5V power supply as any USB port in any device.
- The faster a storage drive is the higher the working temperature.

Hope this helps

I found the answer to the USB drive getting hot (at least in my case); I have been using the SanDisk Ultra 32GB drive and it seems like it is more of a design problem of the USB drive that is causing the heating. Ok, I'll change the USB drive, before it destroys the USB port on my Korg.

Dear Korg, you are off the hook and the hardware is clean.

See the posts https://forums.sandisk.com/t/ultra-fit-usb-3-0-excessive-heat/33099 about SanDisk drives getting burning hot.
