How do I fix the microKontrol editor midi dump error timeout?

Check that the MIDI connection is working properly. Is the microKONTROL able to play any VST, or standalone virtual instruments on the computer? Have you tried manually setting the in and out MIDI ports in the microKONTROL editor? Bad USB cables have been reported to cause issues. It might be worth trying a different cable.
