Hi,
First time Workstation owner with a Nautilus 88. I purchased various samples from the Korg shop, and once I load the first one (which loads and plays o.k.) I then go on to load a second set of samples. This time it overwrites the original samples. So far I have not been able to load more than one set of samples. Is there any way to tell the Nautilus a specific place to put the second (and subsequent) set of samples ?
Please excuse the fact that I'm not very synth/workstation savvy. That said, I'm really enjoying the Nautilus despite all the bad press it seems to get.

Hi Chris,
You have to manage the loading session and change the Programs destination banks. All that have to keep is a sample settings from global KSC auto load, in a limit of internal memory.
So set the autoload sample for each library. Do auto load now, open the PCG from that library and load the programs in different location.
If that library coming with WS, Load them manually in a different WS bank, open the Global menu bar and edit the All Banks Reference to your WS from original banks to new bank. Your programs will know where to find a sources of sound because that will search in original banks. Is the same way to fix the Combi if change the programs location.
I know is not very easy to understand the concept but is like a path. Combi depend on a programs location, programs depend of a OSC sources location (multisample or Wave Seq) that also depend on a KSC (sample sources). Any change in that chain will damage the sounds, combis or make it muted.
Finally after manage the library in the different banks, SAVE YOUR OWN PCG! _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

Hi Dan,
Thank you for the detailed explanation. Yes, it is a bit confusing to somebody with a limited knowledge of workstations but thank you again for taking the time to reply.
I will send you a PM.
