Hi,
I think my O88 has a 'wear and tear' problem.

Whenever I open a combi or program patch—and whenever I switch a combi or program patch---- the master volume slider zooms up to max 127. I just touch it to reduce the volume to whatever. You just have to remember to do it each time. Do you think it is repairable other than sending the O to a Korg technician. I can live with it. I love this beast!

You can adjust the volume and then simply overwrite the Program or Combi and the next time you choose it, you will get the lower volume

Many thanks.

I don't use every combi and program on board (perish the thought) but I do have some preferences especially the 2 volune catalyst by Stephen Kay. Do you have them ? If not, do go ahead.

Actually, how do you overwrite. I've never done this.

Use the Write Program or Write Combination commands, available from the top right of screen dropdown menus. Alternatively, hold down the Enter button and press 0 on the numeric keypad. If it doesn't work, disable Memory Protect for Programs or Combis in the Global menu.

Yes. Write Combination works

Whilst on, how to do make the last combi/programm you were on when you closed down, appear the first one you see on powering up--and not Particles and Waves each time ?

In the Global menu main page, set the Power On Mode parameter to Memorize, then save the Global settings, in the same way as writing a Program or Combi, using the Write Global Setting in the screen top right drop down menu. That should do it.

Voip,
Yes. That works too. Grateful for your help.
