Hi,
I'm having difficulties finding information on how to use my PA5x-- especially when it comes to creating a style under the edit menu. When I read these forums, I get the feeling that much of the arranger market is for people who have previously owned them or have lots of experience working with them from their music careers.
This is my first arranger keyboard and I'm finding it tremendously difficult to navigate the menus to create a style. I also can't find any Youtube videos of people creating a style from scratch.
I'm trying to create a simple drum loop to start and can't figure out how to do so via the Edit menu. When I go into the create a new style, I can select my drums, but after that, I'm not sure how I can record a loop or create a style. When I try to exit this menu, it asks me if I want to exit recording-- but I'm not technically recording when in the edit/record menu. Not sure if this makes sense but looking to have people point out resources I can use to learn this machine in all its depth. |

I agree that a step by step guide for new and old Korg Pa owners on this subject and others such as Sound Edit, Sampling, and other functions as they are added, would be very useful.
I have suggested this to the Pa Owners group. Hopefully they or other expertt owners can produce videos on youtube or Crowdcast which would help us newbies _________________ Korg Pa5x+Casio piano, yamaha Tyros5+Vconsole+Roland pedals, CVP 609 Piano and Lowrey Organ |

There are some tutorials from our knowledgeable member's forum Sam, Unofficial Tutorials
It's not about Pa5X but you should find some useful information if Korg didn't do any fundamental change about creating styles in Pa5X.
Hope that helps. |

Hi, haven’t been through the videos, but, the editing features that were available on the earlier korgs are not available on the PA5x (not YET, ) just hoping they include them in the next update.
The only one we have at the moment is Event List Edit and the ability to import/export as a midi file. Also being able to copy tracks to and from styles, to and from pads.
The video’s should be helpful, but you may not find some of the functions
mentioned.
The Korg User Manual ( the one with 1500plus) pages, explains what notes can be used, settings etc. Have a read thru style ending section.
Have fun _________________ best wishes
