Hello colleagues,

I'm interested to buy a Korg Entertainer Keyboard.

The PA5x is very intriguing, but a little too expensive due to lack of time. And maybe also too heavy.

The PA1000 fits very well, but is already from 2019.

Is a PA1000 successor in the pipeline in Early 2023?

The earliest would be from 2024 and above...

I consider the Pa1000 to be a contemporary mid-range arranger keyboard.

Even though it was already on the market in 2019, it has since been equipped with new hardware (SoM AM5718) from serial number 40000. This comes from the same family (Sitara from Texas Instruments) that the Pa5x is equipped with (SoM AM5728).

The Pa1000 cannot therefore be described as outdated, but the OS, which has hardly changed since its introduction, should finally be updated and be added with the missing features, with which the Pa4x was equipped at the time (fill mode, keyboard sets lock, etc.).

The software of this mid-range arranger should be adapted according to the performance of the existing hardware, instead of considering a successor, which may then be thrown onto the market under time pressure with catastrophically inadequate software, as was the case with the Pa5x.
