Hello,
is it possible to say which would be the better basis for further optimisation of MIDI files on the Korg Pa5X -
MIDI files made for the top model Pa4X or
MIDI files made for the newer Pa1000?

Or is it not possible to make such a general statement?

Thanks a lot in advasnce, br Smile

Sorry, but I am not sure I fully understand this question....

I am assuming you want to create MIDI files for these Korg PA models but wonder which would be a better market for them - PA1000 or PA4x.

I am unsure what the market for MIDI files would be for either of these - very hard to choose.
Why not make them for both - sound bank and locations are quite similar - shouldn't be too hard to modify PC events in the tracks.

Apologies if I have misunderstood.

Not, sorry, it's because of my poor English.

If you want to buy a MIDI file that is NOT available for Pa5, but is available for older Korg Pa models.
Question: Is it better to take the one dedicated to Pa4 or the one dedicated to Pa1000 to further optimize it in Pa5 (new sounds, mastering etc.)?
I assume that it is basically a better starting point than starting with a naked GM MIDI file?

Thanks a lot in advance, br - Krzysztof

Buy 2 SMFs of the same title (one optimized for pa1000 and the second one for pa4x). Then make comparison by your ear and make an assessment which one better suits you.

The question is between top model and newer model - but if it can't be said definitely, I'll do it as you wrote, of course. Thank you, BRI!

Hi, does the Pa5X have an electro (dance) drum and/or bas that would finally be comparable with DAW level?

When I compared styles or MIDI from Pa4 with professional studio mp3 tracks, I always had the impression that only some dynamics and punch were missing, all other sounds I found almost always at least equal.

This is of course a subjective feeling and no one can know what you will like. I think it's important to use effects units, with them you can influence the sound a lot and maybe you will achieve the desired result.

I wanted to wait for the Musikant... but I work mainly with MIDI files not styles. In your opinion, does it make sense to pay more for the Muskant based on the older Musikant versions vs. International?
thanks a lot in advance, br Smile
