I read that the sample size increased to 15034, but why it is still 128MB?

yesterday I updated the OS, in the pdf about updates section you can see it, but if there is any person from KORG, read this; stop your crappy policy and install more ram to these devices, because of your shitty policy we can't even load a 256MB SET, is this a joke in 2022? Every user has the right to load his own samples and 128MB user memory IS A JOKE!

+1000

It would be great if Korg gave us a major update for the Pa700/1000, where the memory for samples is increased considerably.
(Pa700 600Mb, Pa1000 1GB)
They could also add more sounds and styles

just my thoughts

Cheers

I very much doubt it as focus is now on the Pa5x and it’s so update. But who knows we might get an update before the next ice age.

An update for the midrange models is more than overdue.

Pa1000 is equipped with the same technology as Korg's offers its ultimate model. So KORG should finally adapt the software according to the performance of the existing hardware.

The hardware (processor platform) of the Pa1000/700 is the same as the Pa5x (same Cortex-A15 microprocessors and C66x DSPs). From SNr 40,000, the midrange series has been switched to a new Systems-On-Module (SoM AM5718) from the same processor family (Sitara from Texas Instruments) that the Pa5x is also equipped with (SoM AM5728).

As there is no need to think of a successor for the Pa1000 because equipped with a good technology, but its software really should be adapted from previous to existing hardware technology.

PS: PA1000 should finally be available again - in Austria's shops it have not been available at reasonable delivery times for months.

The PA1000 has become very expensive. At least with us in Poland. But it is available for sale

The Pa700 does support sample compression so you should be able to load a 256mb size set. You might need to load parts of the set at a time then compress.

If a price increase is the only update, then this Korg can keep it for itself.

I think with a price increase of more than 50% compared to the prices before the supplied shortage, it should be illusory to decide to buy a Pa1000 and should no longer be interesting whether it is also available or not.

It's true. A new PA1000 already costs much more than a used PA4X. So the calculus is simple...
