Some more detail would help.
Are you having the same problem with the same stick in both Kronos and Nautilus, as your title suggests?
Have you tried another stick in both keyboards? Do you get the same result in both? |

Maybe is not Fat 32 format. Use the Nautilus/Kronos format option or try to format the media FAT 32 with your PC. _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

I managed to get the kronos to see the UBS stick. I dunno, maybe it takes a few minutes for the keyboard to recognise the USB after it is inserted.
I managed to copy files from it to the Kronos.
HOWEVER....
The nautilus, still refuses to see the USB stick.
I have NO idea why
I am complete newbie to nautilus and kronos.
I have a few years on the korg M50.... so I am not completely clueless...
maybe an unrelated question... I have a stock unmodified nautilus 88. Is it normal for it to show a second HDD that is unformated?
When I do media info it says it is HDD2, IDE zero size, zero space.
I am baffled. |

OK... I did NOT expect this!
When I power up the nautilus with the USB stick inserted... it shows up as RDD and I can see all the files.
If I insert the USB stick AFTER I powered up (and it is in ready to play state), the USB stick remains invisible.
Is this normal?
Experience with my korg M50 leads me to believe USB can be inserted at any time without issue.
I'll have to try this with my Kronos now. |

OK, looks like you're starting to get there. It's not normal that it takes a few minutes for a Kronos to recognise a USB stick. In my experience, it's a matter of just 5-10 seconds for it to show up as an additional drive in Disk mode. Sounds like a problem with your stick.
I'd say you need to try a different USB stick. It should appear much quicker. If not, the problem may be with your Kronos rather than the stick you're using. But I doubt it.
The other two problems - the USB stick in the Nautilus, and the unformatted nature of the drive on the Nautilus - should be put to the Nautilus forum, rather than this forum. If there's a problem with one Nautilus, it will also most likely have happened with others, and a Nautilus user will have a proper answer for you.
Best of luck. I hope you sort it out. |

Problem fixed.
Buggy USB stick.
I watched a 205 mb folder turn into a 7.2 GB folder after being installed on an instrument, WHEN the instrument could see it... It saw it sometimes, and other times.. it couldn't.
Full formatting it did not fix the problem.
Used another stick, formatted FAT32. No more problems. |
