I have not found a resolution to this problem. If there is one, please feel free to point me to it.

Recently I purchased a Korg Monologue. It's great.

However, there is some kind of power issue in the synth. If I press the Power button, the display will flash and the synth acts inconsistently, almost as if it's power cycling or something. If I hold the Power button down the Monologue will work thru the Tuning phase, then the display will go off but I can still play in the setting the Monologue was in before the display went off. No further functionality is available once the synth hits this phase.

It's a weird issue. This is my first synth. I'm fairly hardware inclined, and am willing to try to repair it myself as it seems isolated to the power supply port.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the obvious, like poor connection to the mains, and the plug and jack at the rear of the instrument. If there's no improvement, and it's still under warranty, take it back.

Thanks for the reply. I think there's something beyond the power plug wrong with the unit, and cannot repair it myself. Returning it for a replacement.
