|
|
Owners of Pa5X that you have troubleshooting of loading custom Pa4X/1000 Set with a lot of custom samples ,
use this tricky method to overcome failure issues in current OS !
- Copy your Pa4X/1000 xxx.SET in your PC/Mac
- Create a folder called MyPa4X.SET and copy there only the 4 following folders :
Quote: | PAD
PERFORM
STYLES
|
- Copy the folder MyPa4X.SET in a USB stick and insert it in Pa5X front slot , select File/menu/import browse MyPa4X.SET and USB stick root
as destination and MyPa4X.KST folder will be created.
- Copy back created MyPa4X.KST folder in your PC/Mac , open folder and add the following 3 folders from xxx.SET into
MyPa4X.KST folder :
Quote: | MULTISMP
PCM
SOUND |
- Copy updated folder MyPa4X.KST (deleting previous folder there) in your USB drive , place it at Pa5X USB front port ,
click on whole KST folder and load it !
Loading will last for some time and all compatible resources will be loaded in Pa5X including all PCM samples.
- Now you can save the whole created Pa5X in a new KST folder as your first Pa5X.KST
This seems to work fine for any case so make it a try !
Note that after saving all loaded resources to new KST folder then all STY/PAD/PERFORM/PCM files
will be converted to new format and will be no more readable by older PaSeries.
Hope this helps _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

I tried with two different sets (Pa4x sets), this procedure does not work.
So far for me, the standard procedure import goes without a problem with the Pa1000 sets. _________________ Korg X3
