It's almost certainly going to be Nautilus for me, due to price difference and also that the Nautilus 73 key model is light enough, semi-weighted.
However, the only thing that troubles me is the absence of assignables and real time controls. Touch screens don't work for me in the heat of performance and improvisation. I like real stuff I can get my hands on. By all means please correct me if mistaken, but it looks to me like the Nautilus is a bit austere when it comes to assignables; it has much less than the M3 I currently work with, with its additional sliders, ribbon control, and aftertouch.
Kronos does have those sliders at least. I guess I'll just have to miss them. Still love the sound of the Nautilus (much like Kronos), and look forward to getting my hands on one. _________________ "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals." ~Mahatma Gandhi |

Thank you. I played a Krome in a store yesterday. The keyboard was truly awful. But I believe the Nautilus has a much nicer one. _________________ "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals." ~Mahatma Gandhi |

I have a feeling I'm gonna love the feel of the 73 semi-weighted keybed. Also, I love the sounds of the (analog style) leads and bass. Good organs and electric pianos and pads as always from Korg. I've got my heart set on the Nautilus and will most likely get it. The Kronos 73 is hammer action; way too heavy to carry around and not my preference anyway. I'm psyched the Nautilus exists. I just wish it had more real time controls and assignables. My tough luck I guess. Still a nice sounding piece. _________________ "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals." ~Mahatma Gandhi |

Great video, thank you. However, it still means configuring things via the touch screen, to tell the knobs what to modify. I don't appreciate this. I think it is much better to have dedicated knobs for filter, amp ADSR, etc. Plus some assorted other knobs for things like LFO depth and speed, etc. I wish Korg had done this. Obviously they can and have for other synths. _________________ "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals." ~Mahatma Gandhi |

Here's to a pleasing experience for you. I really like my 73 Nautilus. For some folks, especially those that are screen phobic, may have issues: I find it logical and easy to expand and save developed sounds that I use for my work. You will have a learning curve as you delve deeper into the instrument's capabilities. But these explorations are for the most part enjoyable learning experiences. _________________ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=807494
