Hi,
I am going to buy a R3 and the one I look at have problems with the arp. Nothing happens when the arp function is on and the keys are presset - what can be the problem then? Is this a known problem? And if so - is it hardware or software?

Hi,

It is not going to be a hardware problem. At least not if the keys function in regular mode correctly.

I suspect that the board is setup to slave its tempo to an external master MIDI clock. So if there is no external MIDI clock connected, the arpeggiator does not get a beat and no notes will sound.
In the MIDI settings you should choose auto or internal for the MIDI clock source and that should the arpeggiator getting started or hook up an external MIDI clock source.

Have fun
