Hey folks
I am in a strange place of trying to figure out how to trigger my K2 with a Roland A-800.
Kronos global is set to midi 1, A- 800 midi is set to channel 1.
I know there is more because no sound.
I have Midi out cable to midi in on the K. What am I missing. I'm old I have a usb going from the K2 to my computer for Cubase. Is the Kronos looking at the USB out and ignoring the midi out?
Thanks _________________ KRONOS 2 88, Roland A800,

If the A-800 MIDI Out is connected to the Kronos MIDI In via a MIDI DIN cable, and the MIDI channels are configured as stated, then it should work. Try using the MIDI cable between other audio instruments, to see if the MIDI data are transmitted OK. Also try disconnecting the USB cable from the computer, to see if that fixes the issue.

I've never needed to do it, but I think you have to change one of the settings on the Kronos, because the Kronos' default setting is to be used as a master rather than a slave device.
I'm not near my Kronos at the moment, but I would take a look at the Global Menu's MIDI page. It's worth a quick look in the Ops Guide to check which setting it is that you need to alter.
One other potential issue - I can't tell from your post whether or not you're already using the Kronos as a slave device with Cubase as a master. If you are, then I don't know if you would be able to use your other keyboard essentially as a second master and have the Kronos acting as a slave to two separate systems. That sounds like it could be problematic. |

Just so you guys who tried to help know I appreciate your reply.
Problem solved its self with addition of a power supply and disconecting of the USB.
The A-800 didnt want to send data to the computervia USB and to the Kronos via midi at the same time. I needed the usb to power the A 800 so I bought the adapter.
Thanks again for the quick response.
