I can’t seem to figure out which files do I copy to my flash drive in order to do an update?

Open the folder you downloaded. Copy all the contained data from the folder direct on the root of USB flash drive. Don't copy the folder. Only the data from the folder ! If still not working try to use a different USB flash drive. Also try to download again disabled any firewall or antivirus.
