I think this is where I should post my question but if I'm wrong please let me know and I'll adjust. I'm wondering if anyone can help with my keyboard. Here's some of what is going on.
I got an Low Internal Battery message. After much angst I opened the case and replaced the battery (CR 2032). However the battery was corroded and stuck in place. After it was replaced the keyboard still displays a Low Battery message. But it plays.
1st question, why doesn't it recognize the new battery?
The keyboard has 16 program buttons (piano, organ, strings, etc). However I can't get anything other than piano to play. I can't switch to any other program.
2nd question, any ideas why I can't select programs other than piano?
Some of my keys don't produce sound. It seems the Low G key works but nothing else until the next G key. From that point all the others keys going up the keyboard do work.
3rd question, any idea what is causing the lower keys not to work?
Finally I thought maybe a Factory Reset would fix everything so I found a reset list for keyboards and the SGpro X is "Program & Piano 1 buttons while powering on". Not sure it works. The keyboard displays "x--620 Testmode Nov. 19. 1997. Ver.09.
I'm hoping someone can get me answers and help me get this keyboard working. I've hung on to this keyboard because I believe it has some of the best piano sounds I've heard.
Thanks for listening and I hope I haven't overwhelmed anyone with all my details and questions,
