I have been here before, same subject so sorry to bore you. I need a small light keyboard, at the moment to sit and play outdoors. I have Pa4x and Pa1000, can`t move them daily. So EK50 or i3. Or maybe a Yamaha of same spec and price range ??

The i3 does not come with speakers I understand. I just need something “half decent” to carry about. Don`t expect 4x and 1000 quality obviously.

The need to play and move around the house and gardens is more important now than ever due to Covid. So a light keyboard with a decent sound,
Ek50, i3 or Yamaha ???

Thanks

For me, it was a tough decision between the Korg EK-50 and the Yamaha PSR-E463. I've owned Korg and Yamaha boards in the past and enjoyed both brands. I settled on the EK-50 for the 64 voice polyphony vs the PSR-E463 48 voice polyphony. Both are lightweight easily transported, portable arrangers.

Thanks for reply. It was very tough for me also, had to get it right which I have done now thanks to posting on the forums. Sticking with Korg because are familiar with the operating system. Went heavier than the OP suggested but are ok with that now.

Glad you are happy with your EK50, sure I will get one eventually.

Thanks

For better sound, the EK-50 Limitless is supposed to have speakers twice as loud as the base model. That should help in your setting. Good luck with your decision. I am also considering the EK-50 L for light weight.

I have just downloaded the User Manual for EK 50L and will look at it during next few days. I watched a video saying that there are a lot of Dance styles aimed at the younger generation ? I would like to see one at my dealers when it is possible.

Thanks for reply. Like I said will look at Manual.
