Hello I got hold of a wavestation keyboard recently but it seems that some of the buttons are not responsive, nothing happened when I pressed the bank, the Curser left, up, down, right, and number buttons.

I think I can buy parts for this but I am not sure what is the name of the part? I. E is it a potentiometer, button or encoder or spring etc 😂😂[/list]

The Wavestation is quite an old keyboard, and if it has not been stored under ideal conditions, there is a chance that the switches below the buttons have had their contacts become oxidised. If that is the case, repeated pressing of the buttons, using moderate but not excessive force, can sometimes bring them back to life. That should be the first thing to try.

Other causes of switches not working could be the connectors from the switch boards to the main board. Removing the Wavestation's bottom panel and wiggling these connectors may help.

It seems you are referring to tact (short for "tactile") switches. An online search should yield many references to them.
