Hi,
I’m looking for presets that I could use in Here Comes The Sun. Would be really nice to use my Microkorg xl for the Moog parts. I don’t know where to start. Does anyone know if it’s possible to get close to that lovely Moog sound in the different parts of the song.

Hi,
Get some inspiration here: http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2826152/here-comes-the-sun
Set up different patches but start each time from the init patch
* both oscillators to triangles. Detune osc2 a bit: +1
* mixer: osc1 + osc2 at 127
* Filter1: LP, cutoff 69, reso 0
* Voice assign: mono 1
* Portamento time: 9
For verse 2 and the last, you set the semitones for osc2 to respectely 12 (1 octave) and 24 (2 octaves).
In the middle there is some more harsh sound:
I would take the patch of verse 1, but change
* the waveforms from triangle to sawtooth
* Filter1: LP, cutoff 69, reso 70
That is is my quick 10 minutes take.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK

Thanks! Very nice, I’m going to use it at tomorrow’s rehearsal and try it out. _________________ MicroKorg xl+, Korg D1, Hammond Sk1, Fender Rhodes mk1 |
