|
|
Hello guys!
I recently followed this tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1cpim5EAqI ) and tried to replicate the sounds on my Kronos ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBd7AWL6FX4 )
While I was able to replicate the Prophet 5 sound by using the AL-1 alone, without using any effects, it didn't work with the MS-20 engine.
Does anybody know whether the patching shown in the tutorial can work in the Kronos? Can you feed the MS-20 into itself to get that distortion or is it just not possible? I referenced the manual but didn't get any answers and had to use the IFX chain to achieve better results.
Here's the link for the sounds I made. Let me know if you can get better results and please share your wisdom!

On the original mark1 ms20, if you patch headphones into External input you get high gain distortion and feedback... try patching into the ESP external signal processor first... then patch it for external input so you can control gain level...grab signal from the bandpass filtering then into external input... _________________ From the Beyond Straight into the Supernatural

no clue about the Kronos engine yet merely stating learned insight from manual patching the actual 1978 MS20 synth... ~shrug~ _________________ From the Beyond Straight into the Supernatural
