Was hoping someone could assist in creating the sound noted here:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw_sd0RHlZY&t=63s

In doing the above as a starting point, I’m trying to recreate the Robotron 2048 “Level Complete” sound:

https://youtu.be/aOVA2Axxfdk?start=26&end=3

Just when the concentric rectangle animation is playing.

Any thoughts?

Very 8 bit. Use a delay in reverse with a very high wet value. Use a waveform like a sine wave for the source. Double it or add chorus or both.

You can get a variety of 8 bit sounds using the AL1 extreme fm settings. Try putting one of the osc pitch so low it’s almost an lfo. You will get different classic video game sounds with squares and saws and triangles.

When you find the right type, you will then need to make one of the osc rise in pitch with something like a slow saw lfo.

Oh I forgot. You can also use the decimator FX and set it to 8 bit mode.

Just awesome Charles. You are a Synth Ninja. Thank you so much for taking the time to produce those two sounds and provide a video, those sound very good.

Going to try to mess with those parameters and see what I can come up with. Thanks again!
