|
|
I was wondering why a simple layered pad combi was causing audible voice stealing when only playing a few notes.
I soloed the layers of the Combi and found that one program "Soft Angel Choir DY" was using 10 voices per note according to the perf meter.
This is a single EXi program - EXi 1 is PolySixEX and EXi 2 is off.
I reviewed the perf meters on other EXi programs - PolySix and others. Typically they run 1 or 2 voices per active key.
What about "Soft Angel Choir DY" makes is so costly in terms of using voices? (I'm not sure where that program came from - I don't find the name searching with Google). Are there some parameters I should check? _________________ Kronos2 73, Presonus StudioLive, Cakewalk / Sonar Platinum, Windows 10 |

Hi there,
This can easily happen in any engine if the Unison box is checked with a crazy Number of voices per note played. Best to keep that number down. |

That was it! Unison = 10.
Thanks, I did not notice that in my first review. _________________ Kronos2 73, Presonus StudioLive, Cakewalk / Sonar Platinum, Windows 10 |
