Love my 3200 but having a few issues recently!

When I record I get an error saying “too many files in this drive”.

However I always empty my undo saves and the drive still have 32gb free of space.

Anyone else had this problem and know how to resolve?

I've had a similar issue on the D16XD recorder. Seems it won't save to the internal drive and was accessing a PC partition drive, even though it wasn't connected to the PC, which made no sense to me. I formatted that partition and solved it. That recorder also has optimize track feature, which eliminates the undo data which can sometimes overwhelm the processor. If it has a system disc utility drive scanner you can see what drives are being recognized by the system, but not owning the unit I can't point you to the exact spot.

I seem to recall, I can only get 40 songs on each partition. From what I can tell it is a 40 song limit, not the space available. Strange, but older technology - I don't think anyone expected the storage to go as far as it did when it was manufactured.

If you are still having issues, I can confirm this for you. I currently have a 120GB Drive formatted into 4 Partitions (ABCD) - when the drives fill up, I shift to other locations, or offload them.

Typically I use Drive A fo current (working) projects - with Drives B-D as historical data.
