|
|
I have made 3 seperate patches ( synth lead, bass and strings) and would if possible combine them into 1 patch or sound and save as a program number.
The factory presets i have messed around with using sound editor to achieve my sounds but require the 3 sounds to be combined together and also split or layered on the microkorg .

Hi,
Which microKorg do you own, original or XL(+)?
Original: you can only use layer mode to combine 2 patches into 1. Which means in your case that both the lead and bass will sound together. You can work around it to some extend by using smart virtual patches or something like that. E.g. the modwheel acts like a balance between both timbres or setup kyeboard tracking.
XL(+): you can next to layer mode use split or multi mode. I think in your case you're looking after split mode.
I think the easiest is to use the editor and copy the timbres of the separate patches into one new patch which you setup as layer, split or multi mode.
With the boards itself it is also possible to copy timbres, but requires some juggling with knobs and switches.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
