Hello Charles,

I'm not sure you can answer but, as there's no such reverb in the Kronos, I wonder how to simulate a Spring Reverb, by using the existing algorythms ?

It would be very useful when playing guitar sounds.

Thanks

Excellent question and one that I have thought of before. I’m not sure off-hand what exactly makes a spring reverb physically different, but we can guess that there is some regular sympathetic vibration from the spring that is related to it’s length and number of coils.
If I were to guess how to mimic that sympathetic resonance, I would say routing one of the reverb algorithms through STR-1 (set to a fixed pitch with slop) or a short mod delay should do the trick.

Again though, that is a guess. I would need to see what a spring reverb looks like through a spectrum analyzer... I was planning on sitting down and really figuring it out once I got to the reverb section of the effects list.
