R3: USB Controller for Logic on Mac OS X?

Post by PlasticLoveDoll »

I was wondering if any of you guys use the R3 as a MIDI controller on Mac with Logic. Does it work USB out? I was considering it as an alternate controller for when I'm traveling and don't want to carry my M3. I love the sound of the R3 anyway. Have you found the drivers and MIDI functionality to work well on Mac? Thank you for any replies.

Korg uses the same driver package for all of their synths so it should just work..
I have my Radias running on my 2019 MacBook Pro (Mojave), using the USB-MIDI driver package downloaded for my Kronos 61.

Hey X-Trade, that's excellent, thank you.

Quick question if you have a moment regarding MIDi. I have a 2015 MB Pro running Mojave also... and while my Korg M3 works fine using MIDI out into my RME 802 interface, I also have an 88 key weighted M Audio controller that while it works via USB with my old 2012 MB Pro running El Capitan, I can't get to work with Logic in Mojave.

Logic sees the M Audio via USB, I get the popup approving it, but does not respond to any note or controller information. Do you have any ideas how I might resolve this? Thanks so much.
