Does anyone have a video or a link on installation instructions for the pbs-tri sampler board? Also will this allow for access to global->p8 and for uploading KMP and KSC files? |

These double your available banks of patches. Insert them very gently as the legs of the chips can bend easily, so make sure all the legs are oriented correctly before inserting.
Installation: http://web.archive.org/web/20060209105217/http://209.35.182.75/trinityhaven/HTML/tutorialpbs.htm
And, yes, it will allow you to use Trinity-based KSC, KMP and KSF files (Korg SCript, Korg MultisamPle, and Korg Sample Files respectively), as well as AKAI S1000 and AIFF if needed, and it will give you Global P8 menu functionality for sample/chip management.
Make sure you get the PBS-TRI manual from my Trinity Manual Compilation: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=45892 |
Timo thanks so much for the info, ive found 2 sellers on ebay but im worried whether or not the pieces theyre selling are going to function properly. Did you happen to know anywhere that has the legitimate pbs-tri and 2 srams? As always I appreciate the help! |

Veru sorry, I can't advise on third parties. I bought mine directly from Korg UK when they were still being produced around 20 years ago.
Strange he has had 47 of them, to me that would suggest it may be a reverse-engineered third-party imitation rather than a genuine original, unless he bought all the last remaining stock from Korg around about the time of the millennium. Even if the latter, it begs the question why leave it until now to sell them? _________________ [Free Moss Set For All Workstations With Moss Expansion]

Hi timo thanks again for responding and taking the time to help me. I spoke to him directly and he has said he built the cards himself and has vouched that they work for the exact use im looking for so im going to go with it for the time being and give it a shot, i will come back here and update about the function once i receive them and give you all some feedback if others are also looking! |

Just in case anyone was watching this, I have received the parts (PBS-TRI and 2 SRAM chips) from the ebay seller and they work great! |

Hello there!
I was thinking to add the PBS-TRI but have not too much idea of it.
What is the purpose of this expansion?
Is this to have banks C and D? And if so... that means it comes with more sounds or is just the "empty room" to have (create) more sounds?
Also, the PBS-TRI is just for programs or for combi as well?
Thank you! |
