For me its a very good ideea Smile I did it. I have now 1.2.0 and everything its fine. I will not install again 1.3.1. Maybe next one. But for now v.1.3.1 it gives me a headache. I dont wanna edit the styles over and over again, lol. With 1.2.0, one time is enough.

I tried to downgrade my Pa1000 to OS 1.2.pkg but it asks me:
"Please select a UPD file to be installed."

Where can I find the UPD file for OS 1.2.0 for Pa1000?
All I found it's a pkg file in Korg website.
Thanks

Ah, you have the new model with HDMI port. In your case, you cant downgrade because there are no UPD files for previous versions of OS. Only the models with RCA (video) can downgrade. In their case, a pkg is needed.
I guess you'll have to wait for a new OS release. Let's hope it will be soon...

No, mine doesn't have HDMI port, it's just a regular Pa1000.
If possible can you please send me the OS 1.2.0 UPD file?
I looked for it in Korg site, but it's not there.
Thanks.

No one have 1.20 UPD file. Only 1.3.1. and next OS releases.
On my pa1000, i need pkg files, so thats why i can downgrade.

Did you downgrade to OS 1.2.0 from OS 1.3.1?
I think, if I am not mistaken, my Pa1000 is the same generation as yours but I don't understand why it's not reading the OS 1.2.0 pkg. Weird!

Yes. i downgraded from 1.3.1 to 1.2.0 and the bug its gone.
Its weird indeed if yours ask for UPD file, because i though only new models with HDMI port needs UPD files. But it seems i was wrong.

Did anyone hear try the new update 1.5 it will format an reinstall everything..
I had 1.3.1 and it was working fine and when the new os came out 1.5 I decided to upgrade I could always go back,,, so when I went to install ,, it gave me an option to upgrade or format and then upgrade so I did it reinstalled all the samples in resources fresh and new… I’ve been using it and I had no trouble ,,seems to be working fine… But will it fix your problems ,,,,I’m not sure ,,but I have nothing to lose …just my opinion… And again..

Please stay safe and healthy…

Hi duby,
I did installed the 1.5 version.
So far I can say it worked for me at 98% ok.
After updating to 1.5 version I loaded my set that comes from Pa4X V2.1 into Pa1000 (which I am still using for the years in my Pa4X, stable and reliable set).
It works fine so far at 98% because I had two user styles that the Tempo changed randomly and then I re-saved them with the correct Tempo, so far so good.

My personal conclusion, regarding my longtime issue with my Pa1000 (i bought it second hand), is that:
1- Either my problem was with the custom set I used (which was made for Pa4X Version3), which I suspect it was not
compatible with Pa1000.

2- Or the internal memory was damaged or corrupt and possibly the 1,5 update fixed it.
Even though Korg did not announce officially any fix beside "Fix: big sized MIDI files could interrupt the playback of a Jukebox list".

I will see how stable my Pa1000 will be in the future.

BR

as you know i did a change over from pa4x to my back up pa1000.... ... on the pa4x , i still use the os2.2 and my songbook works fine .. ( made in os2.2 )
the pa4x os 3x ... i do not know if the songbook will work .(songbook made in os3 ).. some people say the if you have a song or a style name the same ,,,,the os3.. gets crazy ..... if you have a style call ... abc.midi and a style call abc.sty .in the songbook,it might , restart or shutdown or reboots ...
so a songbook made in pa4x .. OS3…. Might not ,, work well in the pa1000 as well as the os2.2 songbook..
songbook made in os3 ,, might have something different in it when it get save ... just ... IMOP ..

Korg has responded quickly to a problem I had.
Not so 6 months ago!
I was all of a sudden getting those black screen errors messages a couple days ago. I reload os and it went away.

‘Can’t create form with Id#? (I did not remember number?).

“device generic error”

It was strange it happened when I set up 4 pads and locked them.

No clear answer from Korg, Just reload os...
I see this problem in another thread...

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with my pa1000 display screen. recently my keyboard screen doesn't take any input! after I restart the keyboard it randomly fine but after a while, the problem stays!

I've done the collaboration method and also change the keyboard OS(1.3.1 and 1.5 neither resolve the issue).

I have the HDMI version of Pa1000.

Has anyone had the same issue or know what should I do regarding this issue? cause it's a disappointment for a brand new keyboard.

Thank you.
