|
|
So, I finally am venturing deeper, and of course the Windows 10 Songbook Editor will take it to the next level.
I have it installed on my laptop. There was a dialog box that said I had the USB-MIDI driver from Korg installed correctly. Within the Songbook Editor, under Preferences, I choose the Pa1000. I of course have a USB A (laptop) cable connected to USB B (Pa1000).
And nothing. The Editor should have all its spaces filled up with data.
I've used plenty of Editors and Librarians over the years, not sure why this one is not working!
Thanks, Randy _________________ Keyboards: Kawai ES920 / Casio CT-X5000

You do not need Korg MIDI drivers
EITHER
Save/copy your SET onto a USB drive
Load it into SONGBOOK Editor on your PC
Do your editing
Save the changes
Load it back into the PA1000 from the USB drive
OR
If you want to have your PA1000 internal drives opened on WINDOWS you need to "enable" the connection - this has nothing to do with MIDI drivers - it's just like plugging in an external drive on your PC. Now you will see your PA1000 media directly on the PC like an external disk - you can then load the SET into the SB Editor (I personally would make a copy of it first)
See page 951 in the latest manual
Hope this helps
Cheers

Pete,
Enormously helpful, thanks, I'll give that a go.
I'm not as current with this laptop- I have a Vista laptop, easy to find external drives on it. Was not finding it, kept on expecting the Pa1000 to show up as a drive.
And thanks for giving help on this part of the forum- it's lonely here! There's more of a critical mass in the Pa4x threads _________________ Keyboards: Kawai ES920 / Casio CT-X5000

No problem Randelph - don't be lonely - you can always wake me up with a PM
I try to keep an eye on several of the forum sections.
Take care
