so i thought my kp3 worked just fine

i figured my large fingers were the cause of needing to use the very tip of my nail to get to the far edges of the pad

but just for the hell of it i recalibrated my pad to see if it would make a difference

woah

totally made the border more obtainable more easily

everyone with a kp3 should recalibrate it if they never have before, it helps out so much

It is in the service manual.

If you want one, let me know.

Tightening that ribbon connector did the trick. The top third of my screen wasn't registering and now it is.

Hi guys. First of all excuse me for my bad english...

I've just bought a second-hand KAOSS PAD 3 and I noticed that it works great but I have a problem about touch pad's sensitivity, infact i have to push quiet hard on the pad with the finger, in order to activate and modulate the effect...

Is there any way to increase or change touch pad's sensitivity?

P.s. i've already calibrated the pad?

No, there is no user setting for touchpad sensitivity.
- Touchpad contacts/connectors are loose or dirty, so clean/fix it.
- Touchpad is bad/worn out, so replace it.
So you'll need to open the KP3 inside and clean/test touchpad etc.

Download here the KP3 servicemanual and see how to open it and how test it in the TEST MODE etc.

Hey guys,
I was directed here from http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=92873&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=. Take a look at my problem [with pictures].

I tried factory reset and now I just tried something from Mareed's Calibration post. [a few posts up from this one]

My CAL3 is not working and that is the top right corner. What would this mean?

Please help me out Smile

I see this thread is REALLY old. But I am having the same issue.

Argh.

Just took my KP3 out of the closet after years of storing and now it seems like the Pad has gotten stuck. I can only use the TOP vertical row. And on top of that horisontal wise, the top row it's also off like 3 or 4 squares.

I have earlier been able to fix a slight offset by doing the calibration, but now it just doesn't change anything.

I then tried taking it a part and reconnecting that small white cable thar comes though the board, but it's still stuck after doing that.

So yeah, really annoying. It worked las time I used it a few years ago but it's now completely useless. Does anyone know how much it cost to fix it?
