|
|
I recently purchased a Korg D1 and am new to midi so this may be down to not properly understanding how midi works so I would be grateful for any assistance.
What I am looking to do is send a midi signal to the piano to change some of the settings. Ultimately this would be to try and use a pedal to send a midi signal for Control Change 67 to mimic a soft pedal.
I'm currently using MIDI-OX to test out whether this would work and find that I can send the changes to the piano for soft pedal, damper pedal etc. and they work if I'm using an external midi keyboard to send the key strokes to the Korg D1 but if I play any of the keys on the piano itself it plays with the original settings.
As a result it appears that any midi control change signals sent to the D1 only apply to external midi controllers playing through the D1's processor not to what is played locally on the piano.
So the question is can you send a midi signal to change the controls on the D1 that would affect local playing? |
