|
|
Is there a better and easier way than to have to go to master track, track edit, and midi event edit to add a million tempo changes to lets say....slow down at the end of a song for instance? like a realtime way to record that using overdub or something? When i try to do that, it says, cannot record in master track mode or something like that. thanx |

do it very simply : after my track has beenrecorded (for exemple tempo 115) I put the record tempo mode in REC and then I make the recording mode in OVERDUB and, (it is an exemple ) in the last mesures of my track I slow down with the slider the tempo of the track. Quite simple. _________________ trees are going fast.

we are talking SEQ mode.
I have been doing it manually - when I get on top of the measure where a part is to slow down, I just manually enter the tempo # and press enter.
Going to experiment with KronosPhere's suggestion _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

You can simply record your tempo knob as you turn it, raising or lowering the tempo.
At the top of the screen, next to tempo mode, you can select manual, auto, or record. In overdub mode, with the sequencer record/write button pressed, select rhe record option. Now press sequencer record and you can just record your tempo changes in real time. Data is recorded on the master track, where it can be deleted, altered, cut, etc. Don’t forget about using the compare button to undo changes. |

thank you.
which track should i have selected in overdub mode though? or does it matter? cause master track wont let you hit the record button.
nope. just tried it with any midi track selected in auto and manual mode on overdub. and nothing happens after i record it. plus ...when i try to record on master track, it says....can not record on master track alone..... please advise.
Never mind, i figured it out . when you said...sequencer record/write button pressed, i thought you meant to START RECORDING FIRST instead of just pressing it so it gets READY TO RECORD, then going up to tempo and set record there FIRST before starting to record. but thank you |

Yeah, sorry. My wife needed to get on the computer, so I wrote that post from a mobile device. To reiterate:
In PREFERENCES, select OVERDUB mode. This applies to all tracks and will keep your existing notes from being overwritten.
Press the sequencer REC/WRITE button (but not the START button).
You can now select the RECORD option from TEMPO mode.
Tempo changes go to the MASTER Track, no matter which track you are recording on.

Right, pressing the REC/WRITE button (song ready mode), but not starting the recording is what is confusing. I did the same thing you did, when I started. Not many people know how to use it for realtime tempo recording. |
