Hello,
I have been trying to record from an external sequencer to the PA700 while in Sequencer Mode, and it does not appear to work.
I have an Ensoniq VFX-SD (among many other synths) and there are some sequences I programmed on it that I would like to transfer over to the PA700. I hooked everything up right (MIDI out on VFX-SD to MIDI in on the PA700), and all of the tracks are set to transmit on their respective channels from the VFX-SD. I know that the PA700 is receiving data because the tracks from the VFX-SD are sounding on their respective tracks on the PA700.
When I go into Sequencer Mode, go into Multitrack Sequence Record on the PA700, set the tempo (either manually or in the settings as external sync), hit the record button and start the sequencer on the VFX-SD, nothing gets recorded.
Am I doing something wrong, or did I finally find something on the PA700 that I can complain about?
The only other option I see is to record these songs from the VFX-SD to my computer into a MIDI program, create a MIDI file, and then load it into the PA700 sequencer via a flash drive. I kind of did not want to employ the computer for this type of thing.
Any suggestions or comments are welcome.
