Anybody know why my Kronos 2 is playing the notes I play about 5 seconds after I play them?
How do you delete or edit notes in the sequencer mode. I can copy tracks and certain editing features but I can't figure out how to delete single notes in a sequence.

guessing...

you are playing a midi file ?

If not, the 5 second lag is suspicious - it sounds like a delay FX

Where are you copying tracks. ' from ' ?

Greg, thanks mate for your info. Don't know about you but having had at lease a couple of dozen sophisticated synth's I find the Kronos exceptionally complicated. Love it for it's sounds, but boy it's hard work. Well I really am more concerned with learning how to delete notes in the sequencer if you can help me with that. Cheers and again, thanks.

Hi Brian, I am a maniac using the SEQ. Have recorded 75 originals on my SoundCloud. 100% Kronos and SEQ

for your song, go to the Track Edit tab.

go to the menu- upper right hand corder.

Select 'Erase measures ' in the select track

And so on, follow the dialog box.

I recommend you study the seq and view the Korg tutorials on YouTube.

Korg has their own way of doing things. It has high learning curve if this is your 1st Korg w/s

It takes time.

FYI, Always back up your work.

Hi Brian,

Just to add a little detail to Greg's answer. If you click on 'Erase Measure', that will allow you to erase a whole measure - i.e. two bars, or whatever. To delete single notes, you'll find it easier to click on 'Midi Event Edit' - another of your options when you open the window that leads you to 'Erase Measure'.

Open up the Event Edit page, and you'll be able to delete single notes, but also move them around, alter the note pitch, length and velocity, copy existing notes to other locations, insert new notes, insert, delete or alter control changes and program changes etc - all really useful basic operations.

It's worth having a look at one or two of the basic tutorials, as Greg says, and also just exploring the various pages that that particular window opens up - 'Delete Measure', 'Quantise', 'Shift/Erase Note', and 'Modify Velocity' are all useful everyday tools that are easy to get to grips with.
