Hi everybody, I get a dust like smell from the P1000 while playing, especially by loud playing. It clogs my nose and throat and i use mask when i play it. I cleaned speakers and inside of keyboard and I didn`t see any excess dust. Could this come from electronic components ? I bought this as used 6 months ago, everything works fine except this. |

Get it checked out before it possibly fails. _________________ PA4X-76, Karma, WaveDrum GE, Fantom 8 EX

If by chance you can swing the cover open. But lots of screws on bottom and To know which ones? Use canned air to clean boards. Most likely power amp / power supply area. If you ever opened up and looked in a computer tower, you will be amazed at the dust in the fan area...
Keyboard must have been in dusty environment... |

I opened and replaced the pitch bend last week, I didn`t see any excessive dust. But I also opened plywood cover at the back and washed the damping polyester materials. Since than it looks ok for now. |
