Greetings! I am Mark Weiss, from New Milford, CT in the USA.

I bought a Korg Kronos 2 - 88 in January. Had a ton of questions then and tried joining this forum but never got the activation e-mail. Calls to Korg, e-mails to the mods, webmaster, admins and even the studio that hosts the forum weren't answered--some bounced.
It wasn't until a fellow on Facebook's Korg user group intervened this week that I was finally able to get my account activated. So here I am.. at last. Smile

At any rate, I've solved most of my Kronos problems and have gotten to know the instrument enough to do basic stuff like change the effects, import sound libraries, etc.

I originally bought a Yamaha Montage 8 in early January, but found the MIDI implementation a show-stopper. That's when I found a good deal on a Kronos and bought it. Played with the two keyboards for a couple of weeks and decided to return the Montage.

Kronos has a lot of potential. I'd like to see a 64-bit version that can support more sample RAM because that's the bottleneck that limits the number of libraries I can install. But overall, I like the instrument, and the una corda piano is amazingly realistic, especially with the sustain pedal. It is the first electronic keyboard that doesn't scream "MIDI!" when I play the piano. The monotonicity of the harmonic decay on other electronic pianos hurts my ears. This one does not. It sounds and plays a lot like my daughter's piano teacher's 1939 Baldwin grand piano. It has that same warm sustain with ever changing harmonicity on sustained notes. Very enjoyable to play!

I'll have some questions later on which I'll post in the appropriate areas.
