Hey everyone! I hope you can help me out with this.

So I have an akai xr20 and a korg monotribe, I plugged the akai XR20 aux into the microkorg sync in. When I turn on the monotribe the tempo light turns full orange, I can play the synth, but when i go to play a pattern nothing happens at all.

How can I fix this? I am really eager to make some music but this is setting me back a lot of creative time.

Thank you for all of your potential help

What are you sending out from the XR20 Aux Out into the Monotribe Sync In?

In order to sync with other gear, the Monotribe requires a click (or similar sound) in a steady stream of 8th notes coming into the Sync In port. It's also recommended to use a cable with TRS connectors on both ends. And don't forget to press Play on the Monotribe too.

A have to use a 3.5mm to quarter inch. I decided to try and plug the output from the drum machine into the sync, It sinks up, but the 8 steps of the mono tribe becomes 1 click of the drum machine. So it is syncing but way too fast!

Did you route a click sound through the Aux out? It has to be a very brief, percussive sound, otherwise the Monotribe will get confused (as you may have noticed with the Mix out).

Mine works fine with the click from a DR-110's Accent Trigger Out (as do the Volcas, SQ-1 and Monologue).
