Is it only the delay that is affected? If so, by how much?
It could be that one of the potentiometers associated with Delay has become noisy. Test for this by turning the control(s) back and forth a dozen times or so (to try and sweep the resistance track clean and clean the wiper contacts) and seeing if the "editing" effect stops. Another possibility is that the potentiometer(s) are picking up interference e.g. from a nearby cellphone, either near the effects unit or near one of the cables to it. Try moving cellphones, and other transmitters away from the unit (even WiFi and long range Bluetooth devices could cause issues). Yet another possibility is a noisy power supply, which could just be down to a dirty power jack. Try cleaning this with a suitable switch cleaner e.g. Deoxit, or Servisol Super 10. Those are the easy possibilties to troubleshoot. If it is none of the above that is the problem, then the issue could be down to a board fault, in which case, it's best looked at by a service technician.
