Folks,

I'm a new Minilogue XD owner. In order to understand the preset patches (and those available online) I'd like a piece of software that displays the current parameters in the synth for a sound program loaded.

I purchased the editor available from Momo Müller, but it appears only to be software controller for the synth's parameters --- i.e. appears to write parameter values to the synth but not read them.

Equivalently, a reader for the library sound files that displays the program parameter values would be useful.

Any ideas?

I know that if one sets the knob mode to "Catch", you can discover the knob parameter settings, but those for the switches or the parameters available only through the menus cannot be revealed that way.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Todd

Doesnt help you right now, but Korg have added a display original value feature in the recent Minilogue 2.0 OS, presumably will be coming for the XD soon?...

Thanks --- that could help. I think the quickest way to dissect a patch would be to display the parameters on a PC from the sound library file. Seems straightforward in principle.

How do folks learn from existing patches without quick display of the values?

Thanks
Todd

It may be different for others, but I learnt how to achieve what i wanted with synthesis by completely stopping myself from using preset patches, and always programming new sounds from the initialised patch.

For the old Minilogue I used this online editor:

https://jeffkistler.github.io/minilogue-editor/

This editor is perfect for displaying the parameters of a sound and I think it is an extreme pity that it has not been adapted for the Minilogue XD.

Note: The editor only works with browsers that support Web MIDI (Google Chrome).
