Dear All, I have a question, currently using Korg X50 but this happens to all the keyboards... There are difference in sound quality output and through of combination sounds and program sounds.. Program sounds quality output is always much better and clear than the combinations sounds in every keyboard.. When we transfer program sounds into combination its output becomes very low as program sounds mix with 2 or 4 tones as compare to combinations sounds 8... Why this happens as its always difficult to use program sounds... So is there any way if we can manage to same quality of combination sound as compare to program sounds? any help will be appreciated.. thanks

Programs can sound quite different when they're placed in a Combi for several reasons.

The Program's level setting in the Combi Mix tab might be too low. Set to 127 for max level.

The Program may rely on effects to bring its volume up, particularly if a compressor effect is used. These effects are not automatically copied into the Combi. Imagine if all 8 Programs in a Combi also had their respective effects brought into the Combi. The sum total of all the effects would exceed the X-50's number of Effects limit. Examine the Program's effects structure to understand better what is being done by the effects to the Program's level.

Although neither the Operation Guide or Parameter Guide make any mention of this, it would seem sensible to slightly reduce the level internally of each Program in a Combi, in order to prevent clipping of the audio. Setting a compressor or limiter type Master effect will help to bring the overall volume of the Combi up.

Also, if an Expression pedal is being used, is the pedal set to maximum?
