I saw this on your web site :
The Korg Kronos v3.1 Editor and Librarian is available in:
Midi Quest Pro ($399US)
Midi Quest ($279US)
Why Kronos Editor is not available for Midi Quest One ?
At least for old Kronos owner ?
Korg provides a standalone version of Korg Editor.
Is it still the old version (32 bits) ?
Thanks |
Two reasons actually. Feature wise the two are virtually identical so why offer it and while there is a second, I believe it is covered under NDA, so I can't specifically say. _________________ Michael Lambie

To trash a motherboard would mean that the problem was electrical and I assume, in the USB port. So doesn't that mean that whatever USB product you plugged into the port next would have damaged the board, it just happened to be the iLok hardware? _________________ Michael Lambie

Yes, and we also know that this method has been cracked repeatedly. Even Pace doesn't recommend it if the application has a history of being attacked and Midi Quest certainly does. We already have a cracked protection system from MQ11. Why change vendors to use a system where the same thing will happen? _________________ Michael Lambie

Hey Mr. Soundquest.
Just to inform that I sold my Kronos two years ago only for the lack of having 64bit vst editor.
Shame, $5K synth with 32bit editor only. _________________ ....Korgy.... |

some of the DAWs have software-bridges : so we can perfectly use 32bit plug-ins in the 64 DAW.
So why bother ? _________________ trees are going fast.

Because macOS Catalina doesn’t support 32 bit software at all anymore, even with a bridge.
The Kronos editor is essentially end of life on Mac. _________________ Current Equipment:

"Who can do the most, can the least" should be the golden rule in any computer systems. Downward compatibility is a duty and a respect for customers.
I hope so concerning the future Korg products _________________ trees are going fast.

It should be mentioned as well, that Quest based Editor and Plugin is based on archaic code, not just 32-bit. In some DAWs like Logic Pro, performs poorly on multi-core systems.

Interestingly, all references to the editor and DAW integration have been removed from Korg’s main product pages for the Kronos. _________________ Current Equipment:

So they were running "Under Examination" campaign for years ( Compatibility chart, PDF ) , only to turn into an Abondonwear ? |
