|
|
I am currently creating modulations using EXB-Radias programs and noticed that the 8 sliders on the Korg M3 don't control the modulation value settings. I have to use the data wheel or value slider to change the values individually. Just curious if I am missing a way to use the 8 control sliders instead? Thanks in advance.

They work just fine on mine in Real Time Control mode or in Tone Adjust... Maybe go into finer detail about what you're trying to do, please? |

Hi HardSync ...
Do you use your Real Time Control mode or Tone Adjust when making changes to the "modulation sequences" on Page Select P5 with "RADIAS" programs?
Example:
- Bank INT-F - 112 Sonar ... or any RADIAS Program
- Page select - P5 EG/LFO/MSEQ
- MOD SEQ1 to 3 ... choose one to edit
My 8 sliders don't control these modulation value settings. I have to use the data wheel or value slider to change the values individually one at a time.

Ah, OK. I thought you meant something completely different. No, the sliders don't adjust values in mod sequences. So the data wheel, value slider and the keypad are your only options for setting each step's value. You can't use the 8 sliders for this.
Separately, if you're interested, in Tone Adjust mode, you can set up the sliders or buttons to change the following parameters in a mod sequence:
Mod SEQ SW (on/off)
MSEQ Type (fwd, rev, alt of the pattern)
MSEQ Last Step (change length of the pattern steps, 1 -16)
MSEQ Resolution (note length -- this is already setup by default on SW8)
There are some virtual patching tricks you can do to use the Real Time Control sliders to affect what you hear from the mod sequences, but this is a different thing and not what you're looking for at the moment. |

OK great ... thanks for that and the additional nfo.
I also have the Korg RADIAS keyboard and applying modulations is done in real time with the knobs. So I thought that Korg would have linked the sliders on the M3 to edit the modulations ... it's a much slower process. Oh well ... I guess I'll have to slow down and work with that limitation.
