having drilled holes and done the individual output mod for volca beats, i discovered that standard plastic minijack female sockets are too high for the case. i had to file down the socket plastic, and shim a bit of the bottom of the volca case - nightmare... don't want to do that again.
so i'm looking at alternative designs. saw some quite pricey tubular sockets - and then it occured to me i could use the flat, slim pcb-mount style, if they go directly against the base of the case: no movement because they screw on, and are wedged against the bottom. any thoughts? what alternative can you suggest?
these are slim and should fit beneath the volca pcb ?
