The full professional option is to not use arrangers at all. As most professionals don’t! The next professional option is to split all output sounds out separately, then EQ and effect them in the DAW.

Unless you are talking live playing, in which case, IMHO 28 freely assignable insert effects allows you to mix ‘in the box’ to a far higher degree than Korg currently can.

The vast majority of professional arranger users are playing live. Being able to mitigate Korg’s woeful lack of effects in a DAW isn’t an option on stage.

Bottom line, if you can’t sound ‘professional’ with a Genos, it ain’t the fault of the arranger or it’s EQ structure. I’ve heard plenty of impressive stuff played on the Genos. Maybe it’s because you are fixated on minutiae?

Some golfers can only play well with one brand of ball or club. But that doesn’t mean everybody must use that ball or club to be good. And some golfers manage to play great no matter the ball or club. I wonder which ones are considered the true ‘professionals’?!

I have seen and heard Arrangers being played live many times and not once did I even think ..... the Eq is off.

Totally the opposite a great player can make anything sound great whilst others just moan about lacking features.

If someone does not like their Korg PA they should sell it and buy a keyboard like a Yamaha PSR E463.

In this forum, one can expect to be able to discuss the drawbacks and missing features of Korg arrangers without being confronted in almost every thread by your stupid manslaughter commentary on selling the particular arranger.

You should also be willing to acknowledge that not all users are satisfied with all functions of the Pa-Arranger in the present form and for this reason such thoroughly meaningful discussions arise in which not only benefits are acclaimed as you would like.

As OS updates repeatedly prove, it makes sense to discuss deficiencies instead of trying to break off such discussions with insulted comments as you do.

Each user have the right to discuss properties that he does not like without being devalued as someone moaning about lacking features.

If you may think it is enough to be a great player because one do not moan about lacking features - this is so ridiculous as being offended, when someone mentions the existence of inadequacies.

There is discussing things then there is going on and on and on and on about the same thing over and over again.

Your rants are like a broken record and serve zero purpose.

How about being constructive and use your knowledge to help other users.

Hi all

Anyone finding this site for the first time will think that it is not for them. They will read 8 pages, yes 8, of utter boredom and rubbish and move on to a more friendly helpful site. Why 8 pages to answer a simple question ? 2 pages of any post should be enough. After that ? Well boring.

Please think for a moment about the time that you have all spent on this crap. 8 pages of it. Imagine devoting that time to a “WORKSHOP AREA” and passing on your knowledge to others. The Manual is a maze, a disaster. A “WORKSHOP AREA” is what we need here on this site

Then anyone looking at this site for the first time will think yes, I like this. 8 pages of utter crap ? NO

It would only take a couple of you clever guys to get a “WORKSHOP AREA” up and running to answer BASIC questions which would help simplify the awful manual. Just a few bite sizes at a time We will all love you for it.

Dylan

Human behaviour room 101 unfortunately always gets in the way, so I also agree with the notion of Constructive Criticism... "Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one"... let's remember we all have two Good thing's in common which is are interest in Music and of course the "PA4x"....who ever you may be... Smile

If you can get a great mix in every DAW and on every keyboard that has the necessary features for mixing and editing but cant get a professional mix on the ones that don't have the proper editing features and mixing tools then it's definitely the fault of the machine and it's designers. That's why i stand by whatever brand (currently Korg, Ketron, and Roland that) has the necessary features and the ones that save you time as well over the brand (currently Yamaha) that could care less about the users' professional standards

... as already mentioned, to sell the particular arranger is a stupid manslaughter commentary (because of personal attacking).

... that of you is addressed to yourself : If a discussion does not go your way, do not provoke again intentionally to distract from the discussion about a conflict - that is not constructive and does not help!

Please discuss topics in a civil manner or if you really need to argue move on. I think in this forum there is no need for continuosly disputing far from a thread.

We are able to discuss also the drawbacks, but if it is unbearable for you to discuss about existing drawbacks or to accept constructive criticism - be silent. At least in this context do not interfere with preaching over and over again, how great Korg's arrangers would be generally - that really are two different things.

PS: Also it is not necessary to repeat and advertise for how awesome you think about webinars - these meanwhile are well-known. Even though this is constantly being published by you, this does not really help with the specific problems if discussed here.

If one would like to be helped with webinars he would publish it there. For discussions and published problems here in forum it is also intended to discuss and to receive help here, instead of being diverted to webinars or to be calmed with glossings.

Well said.

I always thought forums were for helping others and not for ranting or trolling.

Alas with some here the ego takes over.o

With apologies to Bachus (OP), this topic has gone way off the rails several times.
The problem is that if you sift through it there is some very useful information even though off-topic but this type of information then becomes effectively "hidden".
When sub-discussions start they should ideally be placed into a new topic with a relevant title.

This topic was locked for a short time in the hope that the ego-ranting would die down - seems not.

Topic permanently locked.
