Here's a warning for those who want to update the Monologue firmware to version 2.0. Introduction of Active Step has an unexpected side effect:

With the motion/slide/note switch set to motion, firmware 2.0 no longer allows setting a negative value for LFO/EG INT while pressing a sequencer button. Pressing a sequencer button and then SHIFT and wiggling LFO/EG INT does nothing (like it used to give a negative LFO/EG INT on FW 1.14). Instead it interprets the button press and SHIFT as a setting for active step. This means also that setting PITCH in 100 cents is blocked while pressing a sequencer button with the motion/slide/note switch set to motion.

So, make sure you weigh the pros and cons of 1.14 versus 2.0 before you upgrade.

Short update..

There is a work around to get negative values for LFO/EG INT while motion sequence recording.

Assign either LFO or EG INT to the slider, and motion record using the slider. This way you don't have to press SHIFT while in motion sequence recording mode..
